Terms & Conditions
1. About Dokta
Dokta is a platform that connects patients with independent, registered medical practitioners for online and in-clinic consultations. Dokta does not provide medical advice itself; all advice comes from the practitioner you consult.
2. Not for emergencies
Dokta is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in a medical emergency, call your local emergency number (108 in India) or go to the nearest hospital immediately.
3. Your account
You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure. You must provide accurate details for yourself and for any family member you book for.
4. Bookings and payments
A booking is confirmed once payment succeeds and you receive a booking ID. Consultation fees are set by each practitioner. A small platform fee applies to every booking and is shown in the price breakdown before you pay.
5. Cancellation and rescheduling
You can reschedule or cancel an upcoming appointment from the Appointments tab. Cancelled bookings are refunded to the original payment method within 3–5 working days.
6. Prescriptions and records
Prescriptions are issued by the consulting practitioner at their discretion. Health records you upload are visible only to you and to practitioners you choose to share them with.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, upload unlawful content, or abuse practitioners. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
